Thousands of New Yorkers called in sick to participate in a national "Day Without Immigrants" on May Day 2006. Streaming into Union Square from feeder marches all over the City, marchers bearing banners, signs and bullhorns rallied and then launched a massive procession down Broadway from Union Square to Foley Square.
