Wobblies Tom and Abe chill out...

...and are joined by Fellow Worker Sally
making 3 generations of IWW

Zool puts a coffin together

Bill (flag) curbs a dog as Button Ben looks on

YPSL was on hand too!

The column forms up behind Bill of VFP

As the sun begins to set on Washington Square

We march west on Waverly Place

Todd (beard) and fellow drummers set the pace

Zool wears a bibs with US/Iraqi war dead pictured

The only way home for too many US soldiers...

...and Iraqi civilians as well

The column rounds the corner and heads up 6th Ave

Ruth hands leaflets to supportive onlookers

Heading north on 6th Avenue

AKA Avenue of the Americas

Bill makes our mission clear

The setting sun makes a dramatic backdrop

We march on: many long time war resisters

Including old friend John B (right)

And new friend Jim M (hood)

As we approach busy 14th street

WRL stalwart Ed Hedemann takes a few shots

As we approach 22nd Street something is amiss

Freepers (pro-war demonstrators) are waiting

Unphased, we vigil at 688 6th Avenue

Maintaining a solemn presence

A YPSL stands his ground - Button Ben too

As the Freepers mount a small counterprotest

Complete with Un-American signs (anti-UN, right)

And camera shy commanders

The vigil over, we head back down 5th Ave

The rhythm section leading the way

After the march, some war resisters vigil...

Back at Washington Square as night falls
